This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 11, 2007:
Well this is Difficult!
It may take days to fully answer this one.
First, I will stress ethics from the first day of kindergarten until the last day of twelfth grade. I will also inform my students of tolerance under the guidelines of their own beliefs. Of course math and science will be taught but only until the ninth grade. Then children will begin learning more about their particular field of interest. This is to cause an increase in the graduation rate and the success rate in college.
Second, I will set high standards for both teachers and students instead of the spoonfeeding ystem them characterizes American public schools (no offense to any educators). No one will be "passed along." If you fail, you only have to blame yourself. School would be less democratic. Parents would not be heard over teachers (believe it or not, I have seen teachers with problems that still go unanswered, but parents make one complaint and the entire school can change).

Help

Ooohhh!!! Ethics!!!
This would certainly be a novel difference, don't you think? Instead of “money! money! money!” and “get there first at any cost” mentality.
Great post.

Thanks!
I hope to keep this going
but I'm having writer's block right now.
